Dress Code for the upcoming weeks

why a dress code.jpgWe know it is getting hotter by the day, but we still need the students to dress appropriately. For safety reasons and the outdoor activities we have planned, Hillsdale is asking for your help, parents. If we feel they are in danger, then we will be calling home for other appropriate clothing.

* Closed toe shoes

* No flip flops

* Shoes must have a back strap

* Shirts need to have no undergarments showing

* Shorts and skirts need to be at the bottom of the fingertips of child wearing the outfit

* Straps on shirts need to be at least 2 inches thick

* Sunscreen is a good option for those who have fair skin

Make a Difference Club

pennies_pig.gifAttention, Hillsdale Students and Staff! The Make a Difference Club did a terrific job with the Pennies for Patients campaign! In only two weeks, our school worked together to collect

21,824 pennies

1,855 nickles

2,309 dimes

1,725 quarters

Mrs. Carslake's fourth grade came out on top with $188.58 for intermediate, and Mrs. Tilton for primary with $166.24.

Our grand total was ... $1, 394.83!! You can all feel very proud of yourselves, because with every penny, nickel, dime, quarter or dollar that was donated, you helped save the lives of cancer patients. Give yourselves a round of applause!!

Jiji Math

Don't forget to use Jiji math at home on the weekends and at night. It is a perfect way for the students to brush up on old and new concepts! If you need the password, please contact your teacher and let them know you need the website and password.

The students are getting stronger in their math facts and the 4th, 5th and 6th are progressing nicely through all stages!

Great job, Hillsdale Huskies!
